Building Suppliers Giving Back

Building Suppliers Giving Back

For generations, the building, hardware and home improvement industry have been stewards of local communities.

For generations, the building, hardware and home improvement industry have been stewards of local communities. Whether it’s a hardware store owner stopping at a customer’s home after hours to help with an install or it’s a large organization establishing grants to support funding for education.

We are proud to work for an industry that has shown tremendous support for others.  Below are some organizations that continue to give back to the community.  This is a tiny sample of so many organizations, large and small, that contribute resources.  Oftentimes going unnoticed.

  • Lowe’s Generation T
  • City of Hope
  • Rebuilding Together
  • The Home Depot Foundation
  • Ace Foundation

The Midwest Building Suppliers Association is one of many associations that offers young adults opportunities to fulfill educational achievement. This year Courtney Kreilein has been awarded a Blair F. Collings Scholarship from the MBSA.  She will be attending Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business this fall. Courtney is the daughter of Kimber Kreilein, a Project Manager with The Farnsworth Group.

The scholarship program honors the memory of Blair Collings who died November 26th, 1998 and was the son of Joe Collings, charter president of MBSA. The scholarship awards represent one of the largest academic scholarship programs among lumber and building supply associations in the country.

We are proud that a family member of The Farnsworth Group organization received such an honor.
