DIFM Research Insights

The Farnsworth Group and the Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI) have once again partnered to provide manufacturers and suppliers with monthly updates on critical factors impacting customer behaviors and attitudes in our industry. Specifically COVID, Product Availability, Material Costs, and Labor. We'll be fielding monthly surveys to DIYers, DIFM and Contractors to get a consistent pulse on the project sentiment and behaviors of each audience.

November shows very slight declines in project delays/stoppage with roughly 24% of DIFM experiencing delays.  DIFM  have availability issues, but also labor challenges, and COVID concerns. 65% of DIFM homeowners are also having issues finding a pro.  Mostly because pros are too busy, not responding, or too expensive.
